Much fun was had by ALL today to celebrate Halloween. Our Prek, kindergarten, first grade and second grades participated in our annual NES Halloween Parade with parties to follow. And, our 3rd and 4th grade classes had loads of fun with class parties and different tricks! In addition, NES staff members had a fun time dressing up as well! Be sure to check out the photos.
A special thank you to all of the parents who donated items for the class parties and who also donated their time to help organize the class parties. We would not be able to do it without you!
I hope everyone has a safe and fun-filled Halloween!!
Enjoy the photos!
Red Ribbon Week
During October each year (October 26-30 this year), we celebrate Red Ribbon Week to teach children the importance of choosing a healthy lifestyle, free of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.. Students will be involved in a red ribbon door-decorating activity this year in lieu of wearing red ribbons (just like last year). In addition, we would like to ask students to show their enthusiasm by participating in the following:
Monday (Oct. 26): “I’m a Jean-ius, I’m Drug-Free Day”
(Wear your jeans!)
Tuesday (Oct. 27): “Orange you glad you don’t do drugs?”
Wednesday (Oct. 28): “Are you READ-Y to be healthy?”
(Wear as much red as you can!.)
Thursday (Oct. 29): “Team Up and Sock It to Drugs Day”
(Wear your favorite sports team clothes and/or crazy/mis-matched socks!)
Friday (October 30): “Say Boo to Drugs!”
(It’s Halloween, wear your costume!)
Happy Friday NES Parents!
NES will be celebrating the first ever National Bullying Prevention Day on Monday, October 5th.This is a day set aside to bring awareness to bullying behavior. We are asking all of our staff and students to WEAR A BLUE SHIRT on Monday in support of National Bullying Prevention Day!
