Today we sent home a letter to parents announcing a challenging math contest for children in Grades 2-4. It is sponsored by the Noetic Learning Math Center. The purpose of the content is to inspire young students’ interest in math and to convey the message “It is COOL to be good at math!”
The contest will be held on Thursday, November 14 from 3:45 – 4:45 in our school. The children will meet in the auditorium where they will be escorted to a classroom to take the test. Students will be given 45 minutes to solve 20 word problems.
Participation is voluntary and parental permission is required. If you would like more information about this contest, please contact our Gifted and Talented Teacher, Karen Schumacher.
