Important Reminder Regarding PTA Walk-a-Thon
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The PTA will be hosting our annual Walk-a-Thon Friday, October 12th. As you know, the PTA has decreased the number of fundraisers the elementary school hosts in an effort to focus on one or two significant events. The Walk-a-Thon is considered to be a significant fundraising event for the elementary school. It is important to note that the funds raised during the Walk-a-Thon will go directly towards funding the many assembly programs and our Meet the Artist and Meet the Author programs. These school-wide assembly programs and artist/author groups connect directly with the elementary school curriculum and enhance the children’s educational experiences. In addition, 10% of the fundraising proceeds will be donated to the local food pantry to help replenish their food supplies for the holiday season.
Please take the time to review the PTA handout highlighting the Walk-a-Thon. Please be sure to fill out the medical release portion of the form which is located at the bottom of the second page. In addition, volunteers are still needed. If you would like to volunteer your time or if you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Terry Veiga at email@example.com or call (609)208-0138.
Lastly, listed below is a tentative schedule for each grade level and the time they will be walking. If you would like to stop by, please first report to the Main Office to obtain a Visitor’s Pass.
