~Promoting a curriculum with coherence
~Establishing a climate for learning
~Contributing to the development of character
Please join me in Congratulating Mrs. Tina Jacobs, Mrs. Jane Kern, Mrs. Amanda Munice, Mrs. Andrea Murphy, and Mrs. Amanda Spadora.
Their commitment and dedication to the children of NES is extraordinary! And, these five staff members are very deserving of this nomination.
Thank you for all you do for our students!
Today was a very special day for the students and staff of Newell Elementary School–it was the 100th Day of School!! To celebrate the day, our kindergarten and first grade classes created special 100th day collages, 100 word books, and participated in many 100th day class activities. Students had a ton of fun celebrating the 100th Day of School.
I would like to recognize our entire kindergarten team for taking on the challenge of collecting 100 cans or boxes of non-perishable food items to be donated to the local food pantry. Teachers took advantage of this teachable moment by emphasizing the importance of helping others in need. Our kindergarten students had an opportunity to count all of the food items and I am thrilled to report that together, the kindergarten team collected over 100 food items to be donated–woohoo!
I hope you enjoy the 100th Day photos!
