Seeking Parent Input

As we do each year, the UFRSD reviews the K-12 curriculum in two content areas. This school year, we have started reviewing our G & T program and our Science program. Our program reviews typically dissect each program and look for what we want kids to know and be able to do while ensuring that the content area is aligned with the Core Curriculum Content Standards (CCCS)/NJ CCCS/Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

One key component of any review is to get valuable feedback from parents and students. I would like to invite parents to join me for a conversation about G & T and/or Science. Your input, ideas, constructive criticism will help make these two programs even stronger for our kids.  If you are interested in attending one the conversations, please RSVP  to me at  guterlm@ufrsd.net. Dates and times are below (all conversations will take place in our District Offices).

Science Review  –

  • Wednesday, February 18th  – 5:30 p.m. – District Offices
  • Thursday, February 26th – 9:00 a.m. – District Offices

G & T Review –

  • Thursday, February 19th, 9:00 a.m. – District Offices
  • Tuesday, February 24th @ 5:30 p.m. – District Offices

If you are unable to attend any of the times above, please reach out to me via the email address above, and I’ll be happy to find the time to discuss your ideas and thoughts.

Carpe Diem!

My best,

Mark
