PARCC Testing Schedule

PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) testing for Stone Bridge students will begin on Monday, March 2nd.  Please click the link below for the PBA (Performance Based Assessment) PARCC schedules for each grade level. Make-up testing dates are included as well. If you have any questions about the schedule, please contact us.

As a reminder, our PARCC Parent Night is scheduled for tomorrow evening at 6:30 p.m., in the Stone Bridge auditorium.  We hope you can join us!

2015 Teacher of the Year Nominations

As we do each year, we invite you to nominate our wonderful educators for Teacher of the Year.   As always, this is a wonderful opportunity that allows you to recognize the outstanding work and efforts of your child’s teachers.  We know that our teachers are great; however, the sentiment means so much more coming from students, parents and community members, so we hope you can take a few minutes to nominate someone today!

Stone Bridge has a Writing Lab!

We are happy to announce, that in addition to our new Math Lab, we also have a Writing Lab!  We know that the Writing Lab will be a great opportunity for students to strengthen their writing skills, so we urge students to attend as needed.

Important Reminders: Upcoming Events

We wanted to remind you of upcoming events as well as updated information due to yesterday’s closing:

Tonight, Wednesday, February 18th :  AHS Scheduling Meeting:

–Parents of 8th graders, as well as 8th grade students, are invited to attend tonight’s presentation at AHS.  The focus of the presentation  will be on preparing our 8th grade students for high school scheduling.  It will begin at 6 pm in the high school auditorium.

Tuesday, February 24th:  PARCC Parent Night:

–The meeting that was scheduled for last night has been rescheduled for the 24th.  Please see the updated attachment below.  We hope you can attend!

February 23rd and February 24th:  Parent/Teacher Conferences:

–As a reminder, our final round of conferences for this year will take place on the 23rd and 24th.  If you have yet to schedule a conference, please open the attachment below to do so.

PARCC Training for Students:

–As an addition to the preparation students are receiving in school, we will be running PARCC training sessions for students, which will take place after school.  Please open the attachment for more information about the training in addition to dates and times the training will take place.  We hope students will take advantage of this opportunity!

PARCC Parent Night: February 17th

As we continue to prepare for the arrival of PARCC, we would like to invite you to a parent night so that we can share with you what we have done to help prepare the students.  We will also be able to address any questions you may have regarding PARCC.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Our final round of Parent/Teacher Conferences for this school year is quickly approaching! As always, we value the process and look forward to engaging in meaningful conversations with you.

We will continue to utilize our electronic process for scheduling conferences. You can click on the following link, http://ptcfast.com/schools/_76 , or you may access it by visiting our SBMS website; once there, you may begin the scheduling process.   Please note that you must have a working email address to use the system.

We will launch the conferences and activate the portal on February 9th at 8:30 a.m.; please be aware that you will not be able to sign up for conferences prior to this date or time.

As a result of the time available for conferences, teacher schedules will fill up quickly. If the teacher who you would like to meet with has no available time to meet during conferences, please email him/her directly to find another time to schedule a conference.

Our conference days and times are as follows:
• Monday, February 23rd – 1:10 – 3:10 p.m.
• Tuesday, February 24th – 1:10 – 3:10 p.m.
