The Legend of Piscis Austrinus

Piscis Austrinus: in early legends the Southern Fish was the parent of the two fishes that constitute the zodiacal constellation Pisces. This tiny constellation is marked by the bright star Fomalhaut, the Fish's Mouth.

Greece: Aphrodite forced the goddess Derceto to fall in love with a mortal man. After conceiving and bearing a daughter, Semiramis, the spell wore off. Derceto killed her husband, abandoned her child and threw herself into a lake. She was transformed into the southern fish.
