Safe Homes Program
Safe homes is a national program
developed in 1983 to encourage communication and positive peer pressure
among parents to stop underage drinking and drug use. Safe homes parents are concerned about the prevalence
of alcohol and other drug use among our young people and the social acceptance
of this. As parents, we accept the responsibility for the health and welfare
of our children and believe that it is time for all parents to become involved
in confronting this problem. Our inaction
is often percieved by our kids as condoning their activities. Our children
need to know that we are aware and care enough to insure a safe and healthy
social environment. If you want more information or want to join this program
please e-mail Mr. Rick Rivera at RIVERAR@UFRSD.NET or call Mrs. Joanne Schuh
at (609) 259-6019. |
