I dedicate this piece to a dear friend who could have been anything but
instead
granted drugs the permission to rule his world. Mad love, R.T.
The beauty of drugs
I can give you the high that you yearn for everyday
I can give you the illusions of a brighter way
I am drugs, and I am beautiful
I can give you the strength if you are weak
I can provide you with the escape you seek
I am drugs, and I am beautiful
I can make your knees weak and your head spin
I can give you pleasure, make you feel that you will win
I am drugs, and I am beautiful
I can make your fantasies come true
I can make you achieve anything you want to
I am drugs, and I am beautiful
I can take away your friends, but only the ones that really care
I can leave you hung over, puking on the floor, beaten and bare
I am drugs, and I am beautiful
I can make your parents disown you, but all they did was raise you
I take away from you your values, morals, and all that you believed to be
true
I am drugs, and I am beautiful
I can bring you the hell of a never ending day
I can take away your looks, but you thought you were ugly anyway
I am drugs, and I am beautiful
I can make that smooth hair become greasy, stringy, and a rat's nest
I can take away any skill, you'll never be first or the best
I am drugs, and I am beautiful
I can make you disrespect all that you hold dear
I can take your world, and make you victim to fear
I am drugs, and I am beautiful
I can change your point of view, from everyone you will want to hide
I can make you horrified at yourself, you will want to stay inside
I am drugs, and I am beautiful
I can curl you into a little ball, needle points your only thought
I can throw you into a system where you will be sold and bought
I am drugs, and I am beautiful
I can do whatever I want as long as you allow me to
I will affect you negatively, going against all you have fought to do
I am drugs, and I am beautiful
I will ruin your existence, crush your world, but you granted me permission
And then I will move on, from your dead corpse, I will receive no further
commission
I am drugs and YOU WERE beautiful

INSTRUCTIONS FOR LIFE
1. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
2. Memorize your favorite poem.
3. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.
4. When you say, "I love you", mean it.
5. When you say, "I'm sorry", look the person in the eye.

much.

to love life completely.

39. If you make a lot of money, put it to use helping others while you are
living. That is wealth's greatest satisfaction.
40. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a stroke of luck.
41. Learn the rules then break some.
42. Remember that the best relationship is one where your love for each
other is greater than your need for each other.
43. Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.
44. Remember that your character is your destiny.
Subject: A Box Full of Kisses
We often learn the most from our children.
The story goes that some time ago, a man punished his 3-year old daughter
for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he
became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box. Nevertheless,
the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said,
"This is for you, Daddy." He was embarrassed by his earlier
overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found the box was empty.
He yelled at her, "Dont you know that when you give someone a
present, theres supposed to be something inside it?" The
little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said, "Oh,
Daddy it is not empty. I blew kisses into the box. All for you,
Daddy." The father was crushed. He put his arms around
his little girl, and he begged for her forgiveness. It is told that
the man kept that gold box by his bed for years and whenever he was discouraged,
he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who
had put it there. In a very real sense, each of us as parents has
been given a gold container filled with unconditional love and kisses from
our children. There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.
